Afghanistan: Residents of Parwan urgently need humanitarian aid

Shafaqna English– Local officials in Parwan are worried about the halt of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, stating that many residents in the province urgently need assistance.

According to officials, over 11,000 families in Parwan received food aid last year, but this year, the level of assistance has significantly decreased.

Meanwhile, several residents of Parwan have called for the resumption of humanitarian aid to the Afghan people.

Bismillah, an elderly man who repairs shoes on the streets of Charikar city, says he is in desperate need of humanitarian support but has not received any assistance so far.

Speaking about his challenges, he said: “We have received no aid — not even seen flour or rice. Thousands like me are wandering the city hungry and in need.”
