Shafaqna English– The Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Alawi Holy Shrine held a ceremony honoring the scholarly and spiritual contributions of the Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli.
According to Shafaqna, the event was attended by the Secretary-General of the Alawi Shrine, Seyyed Isa Al-Kharsan, his deputy, members of the board, department heads, seminary professors and students, and academic figures.
The ceremony began with remarks from Secretary-General who said: “Today, in this blessed gathering, we are honoring a great scholarly figure who has devoted his life to serving the true faith. His noble pen has had a profound impact on the scholarly world, and the academic community has greatly benefited from its blessings.”
Seyyed Mohammad Ali Bahrul-Uloom, a seminary Professor, also praised the scientific stature of the Grand Ayatollah Amoli, stating: “His interpretive encyclopaedia Tafsir Tasnīm is a deep and insightful source that guides readers through the horizons of the Holy Quran. It is a commentary rooted in the thought of the Ahlul-Bayt (AS), aiming to establish Quranic concepts that address the challenges of the contemporary era.”
He added that the significance of the event lies in the shrine’s commitment to supporting thought, knowledge, and the dissemination of the principles of the Ahl al-Bayt school.
Haydar Al-Isawi, a board member of the shrine, emphasized that the event was held to honor one of the prominent figures of the Ja‘fari School of Thought. During the ceremony, the Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli’s Tafsir Tasnīm was introduced and gifted.
He also highlighted the strong presence of scholars and seminary elites, calling it a testament to the high status of this esteemed religious authority in academic circles.
In this regard, Sheikh Salam Al-Nasiri, Head of the Scientific Assembly at the Alawi Shrine, announced that the shrine’s secretariat had officially expressed its gratitude to the Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli and presented him with a selection of its scholarly works, including Qirādat Al-Naẓīr and the Tafsīr Encyclopaedia of Kaf‘ami.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli thanked the Alawi Holy Shrine for the heartfelt tribute and praised its efforts to honor scholars and produce scholarly works that strengthen authentic Islamic thought.
He noted that Tafsir Tasnīm is the result of four decades of relentless effort and has accompanied four generations of seminary students.
Following his remarks, Secretary-General Seyyed Isa Al-Kharsan presented the flag from the sacred dome of Imam Ali’s (AS) shrine to the grand Ayatollah.
