Shafaqna English– The Supreme Religious Authority, the Grand Ayatollah Sistani, today (Wednesday 21 May 2025)) praised the efforts of the Al-Ayn Foundation in serving orphans and the needy. At the same time, the foundation announced that the Grand Ayatollah Sistani emphasized the need to strengthen and expand charitable activities.
According to Shafaqna, a statement issued by Al-Ayn Foundation to the Iraqi official news agency (INA) read: “The international Al-Ayn Foundation for Social Care was honored to meet with the Support Religious Authority, the Grand Ayatollah Sistani. Present at the meeting were the Secretary General of the foundation, his deputy, the representative of the religious authority, the head of the international department, and representatives of member offices.”
The statement added: “The delegation attentively listened to the wise guidance and valuable recommendations of the Grand Ayatollah Sistani, who emphasized the strengthening and expansion of charitable activities.”
The announcement also stated: “The Grand Ayatollah Sistani praised the efforts made by the foundation in serving orphans and the needy and expressed his continued support for it.” He also emphasized “the importance of the foundation adhering to the high human values that it has set as its guiding principles,” and called on the foundation’s staff to move forward in this path with greater dedication and effort.
The statement concluded: “The members of the delegation sincerely thanked the Grand Ayatollah Sistani for his constant support and wise guidance, and reaffirmed their strong commitment to continuing their service with sincerity and dedication. They also stated their intention to double their efforts and expand the scope of their support to include more orphans and needy individuals around the world.”
