SHAFAQNA- The prominent Quran master died on December 26, 1978.
A few days earlier, on December 22 that year, he recited verses from the Holy Quran (verses 17 to 34 of Surah Kahf) before Friday prayers and at al-Bahr Mosque that had just been inaugurated in the city of Damietta.
