Shafaqna English- The Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations Office in Geneva, in an official letter to the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights, called for the immediate and explicit condemnation of the United States’ military aggression against the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Shafaqna, quoting IRNA, Ali Bahreini, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations Office in Geneva, on Monday (23 June 2025) sent an official letter to Volker Türk, the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights, warning against the USA’s military attacks on Iran’s facilities under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and called for an immediate stance by this body against the blatant act of aggression.
The letter states that the armed attacks by the United States on June 22nd, against the Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan nuclear sites, is not only a continuation, but also a deliberate complicity in the act of aggression committed by the Israel on June 13th.
