Shafaqna English- Based on a recent survey, an overwhelming majority of Americans oppose war against Iran, and a significant portion believe that Donald Trump’s attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities have reduced the security of the United States.
According to Shafaqna Translation Service, quoting The Independent, the YouGov institute conducted this survey among 2,824 Americans one day after the USA’s forces attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The results showed that 85% of American adults oppose a war with Iran, including 92% of Democrats, 83% of Independents, and 80% of Republicans.
Meanwhile, the majority of Democrats in Congress have opposed Trump’s attacks and called for the approval of a War Powers Resolution, which requires the President to notify Congress at least 48 hours before taking military action and prohibits the deployment of armed forces for more than 90 days without a formal declaration of war.
