Shafaqna English– Governor of Karbala announced special security plan for the Month of Muharram in the province. Al-Khattabi emphasized that this plan is flexible and decisive, and is accompanied by intelligence activity.
Speaking at a press conference in the holy city of Karbala, he said the special plan will be implemented from the first to the 13th day of the lunar Hijri Month of Muharram.
This special plan was prepared in the Karbala Operations Command, and the presence of the Iraqi Minister of Interior and security commanders he noted.
Al-Khattabi added that security meetings and pre-emptive measures by the Karbala Operations Command and the police of this province are still ongoing.
According to Governor the plan primarily relies on the police forces of Karbala Governorate, while the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) are also active in ensuring security.
