Shafaqna English– The holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf is witnessing a large and magnificent presence of pilgrims with the arrival of Muharram. The Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine has prepared comprehensive plan to organize mourning sessions in Muharram.
Haidar Al-Isawi, an official of the Astan, said that the plan focuses on welcoming pilgrims and mourning groups during the first ten days of Muharram, both inside and around the holy shrine, as well as organizing mourning groups and the torch-carrying session.
