Shafaqna English– The Health Department of Karbala Governorate has completed its planning for managing the health and medical needs of pilgrims during Ashura.
The department issued a statement stating that the annual special health and medical planning for the Ashura mourning ceremonies has been completed, and provincial authorities have mobilized all their efforts to provide medical and health services, meeting the needs of participants in these events.
According to the statement, healthcare institutions covered by this program will be managed through the Health Department’s operations room, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, provincial authorities, service organizations, and the Astans (custodianships) of the holy shrines of Imam Hussain (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) as well as the health departments of neighboring provinces.
Within the framework of this program, 101 ambulances equipped with essential medicines and supplies will be stationed in crowded areas, especially during the Tuwairij ceremony.
