Shafaqna English- Large number of pilgrims have set out toward Samarra to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan Al-Askari (AS).
According to Middle East, citing Iraq’s official news agency, thousands of pilgrims began their march today (Friday 29 Aug 2025) heading to Samarra for annual commemoration of Imam Askari (AS).
Security forces have been deployed across the city to ensure the safety of pilgrims and residents, while service groups continue to provide food, drinks, and shelter along the route.
Meanwhile, the Salah Ad-Din Health Department announced a special medical support plan for the occasion, confirming that 30 medical units have been mobilized to serve pilgrims marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan Al-Askari (AS).
