Shafaqna English- One in every three children in the Gaza Strip did not consume any food in the past 24 hours, the UN’s Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has reported.
In a statement released on Friday (26 Sep 2025), UNRWA cited a rapid needs assessment conducted by the International Rescue Committee, which found that many children in Gaza spent an entire day without access to any meals.
The agency said the humanitarian toll on children is particularly devastating. Many families are struggling to cope with extreme deprivation, forcing some children to resort to work or begging to survive.
