Shafaqna English- The wife of the Grand Ayatollah Sistani, the Supreme Religious Authority, passed away this evening in Najaf Ashraf after a period of illness.
According to Shafaqna, the full text of the received statement is as follows:
«إنا لله وإنا إلیه راجعون»
“Indeed, we belong to God and to God we shall return.”
The late lady, a noble descendant of Ayatollah Seyyed Mirza Hassan and granddaughter of the late Seyyed Mujaddid Shirazi, and the respected wife of the Grand Ayatollah Sistani, has departed this world.
Her funeral will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, 6th of Rabi-al-Thani, starting from Sheikh Tusi Mosque, followed by the burial.
Condolence gatherings will take place on Monday and Tuesday after Maghrib and Isha prayers at Al-Khadhra Mosque.
