Shafaqna English- The Iraq Development Fund plans to launch the “Educational Creativity Center” project in partnership with a major Japanese firm.
The initiative is a strategic move to reform the country’s education system and build human capital to meet the demands of the modern job market, especially with the rise of artificial intelligence.
Al-Najjar Executive Director of the fund confirmed that a memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed with the Japanese company, which was founded in 1947 and specializes in educational system development. A core component of the agreement is the plan to transform scientific materials into practical educational games for children, a novel approach for Iraq’s traditional system.
Al-Najjar stressed that Iraq’s current educational methods rely on outdated principles that restrict critical thinking and analysis, which are vital skills for the post-2025 job market. The new Center will focus on developing curricula and sustaining reforms away from traditional methods.
