Shafaqna English- Iraq’s Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Al-Badrani, announced the successful recovery of 185 Iraqi artifacts in the United Kingdom.
Al-Badrani, speaking at the eighth scientific conference on “The Civilizational Role of the City of Baghdad Through the Ages,” confirmed that the Iraqi cultural attaché in London alerted the ministry to the seizure. Archaeological experts subsequently verified the 185 pieces as being of Iraqi origin. The Minister thanked all officials and citizens who contribute to protecting Iraq’s heritage and preventing the trafficking of its history.
The Minister stressed that the cultural legacy left by the ancestors remains a towering structure, and “we will not allow thieves to steal our artifacts or attack them.”
