[Video] Rare collection of the Quran on display in Jeddah

Shafaqna English- A collection of rare Quranic manuscripts is on display at the Islamic Arts House Museum in Jeddah. The museum known locally as Dar-al-Funun Al-Islamiyyah presents ancient Islamic art in its most refined form, featuring artifacts that blend beauty, spirituality, and technical mastery.

The exhibition traces the evolution of artistic expression across different Islamic eras, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). One of the museum’s most striking pieces is a rare fabric panel nearly 2.6 meters long, inscribed with one-third of the Quran in delicate, faint script visible only under close observation.

The artwork demonstrates the precision and devotion of Muslim artisans who combined faith with artistic creativity. The Arabic calligraphy section includes a manuscript copied by the renowned calligrapher Ismail Al-Zuhdi, written on high-quality paper with verses framed in gold. The display reflects the meticulous craftsmanship and aesthetic refinement that characterize Quranic calligraphy.

Another standout exhibit features a unique artwork where each letter of a Quranic Verse/Ayah incorporates one of the Divine Names of God.
