Emirates halted Dubai-Damascus flights

Shafaqna English- Emirates has revealed the discontinuation of its flights between Dubai and Damascus starting 15 November 2025 until further notice. Representative of the airline stated that this choice was made following a standard operational review focused on enhancing fleet utilization as part of the airline’s long-term strategic plan.

“Emirates will cease its regular flights between Dubai and Damascus (EK913/EK914) from 15 November 2025, until further notice. This is the result of standard operational review aimed at improving fleet utilization in accordance with our strategic business aims,” the representative mentioned.

The airline expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and said it “anticipates the resumption of services soon.” Emirates also stated that it will keep an eye on operational and market conditions for this route and will provide updates when they are available.

Earlier this year, Emirates resumed flights to Damascus more than a decade after halting operations in 2012.

At least four prominent Persian Gulf airlines’ Emirates, Etihad, Flydubai, and Qatar Airways have reinstated flights to Syria this year. Additionally, Saudi Arabian airline flynas and Saudi low-cost carrier flyadeal have started or plan to initiate routes to Syria.
