Shafaqna English- Saudi Arabia’s Hussain Al-Hizam claimed gold in the men’s pole vault at Prince Faisal bin Fahad Sports City, as part of the Riyadh 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games on Monday (17 Nov 2025).
In the men’s 3000m steeplechase, Morocco’s Salah Eddine Ben Yazide clinched gold, followed by Djibouti’s Mohamed Ismail Ibrahim with silver, and Algeria’s Seraiche Omar with bronze.
Oman’s Ali Al-Balushi stormed to gold in the men’s 100m final, ahead of Saudi Arabia’s Abdulaziz Atafi (silver) and Cameroon’s Eseme Emmanuel (bronze).
Uganda’s Rabecca Chelengat claimed gold in the women’s 10,000m, while Bahrain’s Violah Motosio secured silver, and Djibouti’s Samiya Hassan Nour took bronze.
Uzbekistan’s Nargizakhon Kuchkarova won gold in the women’s javelin throw, with Türkiye’s Esra Turkmen and Eda Tugsuz claiming silver and bronze respectively.
Cameroon’s Nora Atim Monie captured gold in the women’s discus throw, Nigeria’s Obiageri Amaechi earned silver, and Türkiye’s Ozlem Becerek took bronze.
Senegal’s Saly Sarr dominated the women’s triple jump with a gold-medal performance. Uzbekistan’s Sharifa Davronova took silver, and Azerbaijan’s Yekaterina Sariyeva secured bronze.
