Shafaqna English–A split USA Federal Reserve is set to receive revised economic data from the reopened federal government this week as decision-makers seek greater understanding in their discussions about potentially lowering interest rates at their upcoming meeting in just over three weeks.
It is still uncertain how much of the economic data related to employment, inflation, retail spending, and growth, which have been postponed due to the shutdown, will be available by that time. As of Monday (17 Nov 2025) the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that it would release the employment report for September on Thursday, yet the White House indicated that some reports for October might be omitted entirely, and the data collection for November could also be affected by a shutdown extending into the middle of the month.
