Shafaqna English- The British Prime Minister called anti-Muslim hatred “abhorrent” on Wednesday (19 Nov 2025) emphasizing that the increasing incidents need to be addressed.
“Anti-Muslim hatred is abhorrent … and has no place in our society,” Keir Starmer told the weekly Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons.
His remarks came in response to a question by Labour Party lawmaker Afzal Khan, asking the Prime Minister to outline steps the government will take to tackle the rising levels of racism and Islamophobia against Muslims in the UK.
In response, Starmer said: “The increasing instances must be addressed, it’s why we are increasing funding to protect Mosques, Muslim faith schools across the country.”
