Shafaqna English- The 6th Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) wrapped up in Riyadh on 21 November 2025, under the patronage of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal. The two-week event featured more than 3,000 athletes from 57 nations competing in 23 sports across major venues in the Saudi capital.
The closing ceremony, held at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, highlighted unity and cooperation among participating nations. Prince Abdulaziz thanked the Saudi leadership for their support and officially handed over hosting duties to Malaysia for the 7th edition.
Riyadh 2025 achieved an unprecedented 1.5 billion social media impressions, making it one of the most widely followed sporting events in the Islamic world. Türkiye topped the final medal table with 72 golds, followed by Uzbekistan and Iran.
