Thailand gripped by torrential rains

Shafaqna English– After three days of heavy rainfall that began last week, Hat Yai, a key commercial center in southern Thailand, experienced unprecedented flooding, affecting hospitals and leaving many people trapped on rooftops. Last Friday (21 Nov 2025), the city recorded 335 mm of rain, the highest amount recorded in a single day in 300 years.
