Saudi-USA expanding AI sector cooperation

Shafaqna English- Backed by its sovereign wealth fund, Saudi Arabia is accelerating its attention from oil to AI sector through partnership with leading USA’s tech firms, according to AI Magazine.

Saudi Arabia is moving to position itself as a global AI hub through Humain, a company backed by the Public Investment Fund. Following the USA-Saudi Investment Forum in Washington, Humain announced major partnerships with AWS, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Cisco and others to build large-scale AI infrastructure in the kingdom.

Central to the plan is the creation of a new “AI Zone” in Riyadh, powered by Nvidia’s latest GB300 platforms and AWS Trainium chips, with up to 150,000 AI accelerators in the initial phase. The hub will support advanced computing for model training, enterprise AI services, and Arabic-language applications.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said AI would become essential national infrastructure, similar to electricity, underscoring the strategic importance of the project. Humain also plans to expand Nvidia-powered data centers into the United States linking Saudi-USA AI ecosystems.
