Shafaqna English– A cyclone hit Sri Lanka on Friday (28 Nov 2025) resulting in 46 fatalities and 23 individuals unaccounted for according to officials. The meteorological department cautioned that the storm may gain strength as it travels over the island in the next 12 hours.
