Shafaqna English– Qatar’s Emir Tamim reached Riyadh Monday(8 Dec 2025) to chair the eighth Saudi-Qatari council gathering.
Upon arriving in the Kingdom, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was received by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
The two leaders are set to co-chair the council meeting in Riyadh on Monday. Ahead of the session, Saudi Arabia and Qatar engaged in several rounds of preparatory talks.
In recent days, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met in Riyadh with his Qatari counterpart and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
Their discussions focused on bilateral ties, avenues of cooperation, and ways to strengthen them. Sheikh Mohammed, along with other senior officials, is accompanying Sheikh Tamim during his visit to Riyadh.
