Shafaqna English- The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is preparing to file a lawsuit against Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis for designating the civil rights organization as a “foreign terrorist” organization.
Hiba Rahim Interim Executive Director of the state chapter of CAIR told Aljazeera on Tuesday (09 Dec 2025) that while DeSantis’s decision will not have any immediate effect on the group, it could fuel Islamophobia in Florida and across the United States.
