Shafaqna English- Israeli forces stepped up their raids on the occupied West Bank on Tuesday (09 Dec 2025) targeting two universities
Birzeit University located in the town of Birzeit near Ramallah was raided by Israeli forces in the early hours of the morning, with five members of the university’s security team detained, according to Palestinian News Agency Wafa.
The university postponed working hours for staff and students until 9 am as a safety procedure, The New Arab’s Arabic language sister site Alaraby Al-Jadeed reported. Israeli forces also stormed the campus of Al-Quds University in the town of Abu Dis near Jerusalem.
