[Shafaqna Interview] “Lady Fatimah (SA) Embodiment of Prophethood-Imamate”

Shafaqna  English — Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (SA) represents the pinnacle of the human and mission-oriented model in Islam. She was not merely the daughter of the Prophet (PBUH), the wife of an Imam Ali (AS), and the mother of Imams, Imam Hassan (AS), Imam Hussain (AS); rather, she was a living embodiment of the values of prophethood and imamate in thought, conduct, and stance. From the very moment of her birth, Lady Fatimah (SA) carried exceptional spiritual and moral dimensions that made her a unique symbol in Islamic history whose status and role fundamentally differ from those of all other women.

According to Shafaqna, at a time when ethical and social challenges are increasing, a fundamental question arises: How can we draw inspiration from the ethics of Lady Fatimah (SA) and practically embody them in today’s reality—within the family, in the workplace, and in society at large?

Lady Fatimah (SA) as the Embodiment of Prophetic-

Imamate Values

In this context, Sheikh Ghaleb Kajak Lebanese Shia Scholar said in an exclusive interview with the Shafaqna News Agency: “Regarding Lady Fatimah (SA), we know that the Noble Prophet (PBUH) said: ‘God is pleased by Fatimah’s (SA) pleasure and angered by her anger,’ and he also said: ‘Fatimah (SA) is a part of me.’

This means that, in terms of prophethood, Lady Fatimah (SA) was part of the spirit and meaning of prophethood. The phrase ‘a part of me’ does not merely refer to a biological aspect; rather, it means that her satisfaction and displeasure are connected to God’s pleasure and wrath. She embodied the values of prophethood in their highest sense.”

He added: “From the perspective of Imamate, she is the mother of the Imams (AS), raised them and played a role in consolidating the principle of imamate. She stood alongside the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (AS); thus bringing together two great principles: Support for prophethood and support for Imamate.”

Lady Fatimah’s (SA) Unique Mission-Oriented Status and Role

Explaining the difference between Lady Fatimah’s (SA) personality and that of other women throughout history in terms of her mission-oriented status and role, Sheikh Kajak said: “If we compare her with other women, she undoubtedly stands out in her historical and mission-oriented role, because she accompanied and supported the message of the mission and was a part of the being of the Seal of the Prophets (PBUH). Therefore, she cannot be compared with women in general.”

He continued: “Even if we compare her with great exemplary figures such as Asiya, the wife of Pharaoh, or Lady Maryam (SA), the responsibility of Lady Fatimah (SA) was greater, because the message of Islam was the final Divine Message. Lady Fatimah (SA) presented a model in two dimensions: First, in her personal life through ethics, child upbringing and good neighborly conduct. And second, in the public sphere where she supported the divine mission and stood alongside the Commander of the Faithful (AS).”

The Ethics of Lady Fatimah (SA): A Guide for Family and Social Life

Pointing out that the ethics of Lady Fatimah (SA) constitute an eternal model whose reflection in our lives today is an urgent necessity, Sheikh Kajak stated: “This depends on the extent to which individuals are receptive and educated—whether men or women, youth or adolescents, adults or any segment of society.”

He added: “One can follow Lady Fatimah (SA) in ethics and practical conduct, not merely in slogans. Reviving the cause of the Ahlul-Bayt (AS) is not limited to celebrations, poetry, or occasions, but is manifested in real action and behavior.”

Sheikh Kajak concluded: “It is narrated from them: ‘Be promoters for us without using your tongues.’ If we act righteously in practice and people witness its impact, then it can be said: This is how Lady Fatimah (SA) was; this is how the Prophet (PBUH) and his Household (AS) were.”
