Shafaqna English- For many years, women and girls who wore the hijab were often excluded from participating in sports in Canada. However, sports leagues now embrace players who wear the hijab.
Today, that’s changing thanks to hijabi friendly sports league programs like Al Wahda, an Edmonton women’s Muslim team, and the Unbreakable Sisterhood.
