Shafaqna English– This year, Greenland recorded its hottest January ever, with a warming rate four times that of the global average, significantly altering prospects for industries such as fishing and mining.
In January, the Danish Meteorological Institute recorded an average temperature of +0.2 degrees Celsius (32.4 degrees Fahrenheit) in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. This figure represents a record high and significantly exceeds the historical average of -7.7 degrees Celsius observed between 1991 and 2020.
