Shafaqna English- The British Museum has removed the term “Palestine” from informational panels, labels, and maps in its Middle East galleries after facing pressure from a pro-Israel group.
These changes had not been publicly announced prior to this. This marks a significant shift from the museum’s earlier stance, in which it strongly defended the use of the term “Palestine,” stating that it is a well-established geographical designation for a historical region in both Western and Middle Eastern scholarship.
