Afghanistan: Number of working children on streets of Herat increased

Shafaqna English- People are calling on the government to provide educational opportunities for these children. Heavy burden of poverty leaves Herat’s children on the streets.

One of these children is Zamari, who has lost both his parents and, at a young age, has taken responsibility for two brothers and one sister. The hardships of life have kept him out of school, and now he cleans car windows every day to earn a lawful income for his family.
