Shafaqna English- FC Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal has vehemently condemned the racist and Islamophobic abuse directed at the Egyptian team during Spain’s friendly match against them in Barcelona on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old Spanish winger, who is a practicing Muslim, described the chants as “disrespectful and intolerable” in an Instagram post. He criticized fans who use religion to mock others following the 0-0 draw.
