Afghanistan: Reading culture in Kabul is declining

Shafaqna English- The book market stagnates in Kabul as reading culture in the city is declining at an unprecedented rate, bookstore owners said.
According to these booksellers, the number of girls visiting bookstores has dropped significantly since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan. They emphasize that due to a shortage of customers, they are unable to pay their monthly shop rent.
