Shafaqna English– Late on Sunday(12 Apr 2026), U.S. President Donald Trump launched an attack on Pope Leo XIV after the Pope criticized his foreign and immigration policies.
Having become the first U.S.-born pope last year, Leo has since emerged as an outspoken opponent of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran that began on February 28. Earlier, he had also criticized the Trump administration’s stance on immigration.
