Shafaqna English- The World Food Programme (WFP) reported that food prices in Afghanistan have risen by 20%.
John Aylieff, Director of the WFP in Afghanistan, told The Guardian that transporting food to Afghanistan now takes three weeks longer than usual.
He added that rising fuel prices have increased transportation costs.
According to Aylieff, the disruption has tripled the cost of delivering humanitarian food supplies to Afghanistan.
