SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Sistani answered a question about the wife and the husband sleeping together.
Question: The wife has rights which must be met by the husband; so if a husband refuses to meet those rights, can the wife refuse to sleep with him?
The grand Ayatollah Sistani: The wife has no such right; but if advice and warnings are not effective to the man, the woman can go to the religious authority and ask him for a decision (solution).
