Shafaqna English– On Friday(8 May 2026), Dino Prizmic, a Croatian player who came through the qualifiers, defeated his childhood idol Novak Djokovic 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 in the second round of the Italian Open. The Serbian star struggled with fatigue and mistakes on his backhand in his first clay-court match of the year. This marked the first time in 19 appearances that Djokovic lost his opening match at the Italian Open.
