Shafaqna English– According to marine tracking sites, a luxury vessel that is at the center of a hantavirus outbreak arrived at the Dutch port of Rotterdam on Monday(18 May 2026), where authorities made quarantine preparations for the 23 crew members and two medical staff still aboard.
When a cluster of serious respiratory illnesses was initially reported to the WHO on May 2, the Dutch-flagged MV Hondius had on board around 150 passengers and crew representing 23 countries.
