WHO chief reports Suspected Ebola deaths at 220

Shafaqna English- The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that there have been 220 suspected deaths in the current Ebola outbreak. He noted that delays in detecting cases have left responders “playing catch-up.”

“We are urgently scaling up operations, but at the moment, the epidemic is outpacing us,” said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Monday. He urged countries bordering the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to take immediate action.
