OCHA: Funding shortfall threatens humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan

Shafaqna English-The widening funding gap is threatening life-saving humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

In a post on X, OCHA Afghanistan said that by the end of May, humanitarian agencies had received only about 16 percent of the funding required for the country’s 2026 humanitarian response plan.
