Shafaqna English- At least 1.4 million people across Lebanon are now in urgent need of humanitarian assistance, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
In a statement issued on Friday, June 5, OCHA said that its humanitarian partners were able to provide assistance to more than 680,000 people between March 2 and May 31.
However, the agency has appealed for an additional $331.5 million in funding to expand its assistance programs and reach 1.4 million vulnerable people in need through August.
