Shafaqna English– A senior executive told Reuters on Sunday(7 Jun 2026) that Brazilian planemaker Embraer eventually hopes to bring its E2 jets to China, seeing a place for the aircraft alongside the country’s domestically developed models.
“We have a special team based in Beijing that operates in China on a daily basis,” Embraer Commercial Aviation CEO Arjan Meijer stated on the sidelines of a worldwide meeting of senior airline executives in Rio de Janeiro.
“In our view, the E2 family is the ideal addition to China’s locally made products,” he continued.
According to Meijer, the E190-E2 and E195-E2 jets would fit in between China’s smaller C909 and the larger C919, giving airlines greater flexibility to link cities across the nation.
