The letter, authored by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, emphasizes the collective global responsibility to avoid a recurrence of the devastation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This pandemic resulted in the loss of up to 20 million lives and a staggering $13 trillion in global economic output.
