Participation of 43 Countries in Int’l Quran Contest for Seminary Students

SHAFAQNA- Fifty-four seminary students from 43 countries are taking part in the Quranic event.

The Imam Kazem (AS) Seminary School in the holy city is hosting the event, held in the categories of recitation and memorization of the Quran.

The competition’s panel of judges is comprised of six Quran experts from Iran and seven from other countries, including Lebanon, Egypt, Afghanistan and Iraq.

It will conclude on Tuesday in a ceremony to be attended by grand source of emulation Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi.

The contest is underway simultaneously with four other international Quran competitions, namely those for women, school students, the visually-impaired and the 34th International Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

They are being held with the motto of “One Book, One Ummah (nation)” with the participation of a total of 276 contestants from 83 countries.
