Shafaqna English- Hossam Hassan, the head coach of Egypt, announced on Tuesday(7 Jul 2026) that he has stopped following the World Cup. He believes that refereeing errors were responsible for his nation’s heartbreaking exit against Argentina.
In their round-of-16 clash, Egypt were 2–0 up against reigning champions Argentina until the final stages and were on the cusp of a major shock, but they conceded three goals in stoppage time and saw their dream shattered.
