Shafaqna English- Yakin, the Swiss boss, stated that patience and smart substitutions at the right moments were the keys to his team’s penalty-shootout victory over Colombia, which sent them through to the last eight.
Yakin added: “We faced problems early on, but we didn’t break and showed great character. My timely substitutions also paid off. The important thing was that our penalty-takers were on the pitch during those crucial moments.”
