BCHR Documents 8 Arrest Cases including Woman Last Week

SHAFAQNA – The Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) said that it documented 14 peaceful protests in 12 villages in Bahrain, noting that 3 protests were oppressed by police.

BCHR added that 8 citizens, including a woman, were arrested between 8 and 14 May, 2017. The center also reported that a total of 66 persons have been judged in 19 politically motivated cases, 3 defendants were sentenced to life in prison and one (Maher Al-Khabbaz) was sentenced to death.
