BAQEE ORGANIZATION: “Terror exists whenever the innocent are claimed by oppression.”

SHAFAQNA – “O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well- acquainted with all that ye do.”Quran – Al-Nisa: 135

Justice … if often called for justice remains an elusive concept. Justice those days has become subservient to geopolitical necessity and should we dare admit it ethnocentrism. That very Justice we demand for ourselves as a birthright we have long denied others on account of geography and religio-cultural misapprehension.

Bahrain serves as a perfect example of our collective blindness, hypocrisy and warped sense of entitlement.

While a people has kept to its oath of non-violence so that the world would learn of its commitment to democracy and sovereign empowerment, tyrants have thrown lead and fire at the innocent – cloaked by mainstream orchestrated silence.

The Baqee Organization refuses to abandon the plight of the innocent for their ambitions has clashed with geopolitics.

In the light of recent development in Bahrain and al-Khalifa regime’s despicable attack on innocent and unarmed civilians, the Baqee Organization would like to offer its most sincere condolences to all those men and women, who, for the love of Freedom have sacrificed their lives.

We offer our prayers and words of support to those on the ground who continue to resist injustice and sectarian hatred so that future generations will not have to suffer the same infamy.

Before the aberration of a hatred so deeply rooted in exclusion and the rejection of Shia Islam on account it speaks a tradition Wahhabism has denied for it wants to raise its own, we can only offer pity …

Courage remains with those who stand in truth regardless of the difficulties for doing otherwise would equate to a negation of Islam itself.

In the face of the regime’s propensity to use lethal methods of repression against civilians on account they are Shia Muslims, the Baqee Organization expresses concern over both the health and safety of Sheikh Isa Qassim.

Since the attack on his residence, Sheikh Qassim – a prominent Shia cleric and figurehead of Bahrain’s pro-democracy movement, has neither been seen nor heard about.

The Baqee Organization is now calling on both the public and state officials to exert pressure on Manama monarchy so that Justice be finally upheld.
