Shafaqna English– The World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing feature 51 events—30 sports and 21 scenario-based contests—that test robots in both athletic and practical tasks such as factory work, restaurant service, and emergency response.
On the opening day, two humanoid robots surpassed Usain Bolt’s 100m world record and one also beat the 400m record, a major improvement from 2025.
However, experts and industry leaders emphasize that the true value lies in real-world problem-solving, such as handling cable connections, assembly, and error recovery without human help.
While the spectacle draws attention, the long-term goal is to prove that robots can reliably perform less glamorous but essential industrial and service tasks, ultimately improving efficiency and solving user problems beyond just running and jumping.
