SHAFAQNA – The office of the Grand Ayatollah Sistani informed Muslims that as the crescent of the new moon could not be seen on Friday afternoon; therefore, Saturday 27 May is the last day of the Month of Shaaban, and Sunday 28 May 2017 has been declared as the first day of the holy Month of Ramadhan by the Grand Ayatollah Sistani.
